Description
British chef Mark Hix MBE has teamed up with British restaurant and hospitality company Searcys to host a one-off harvest supper at the iconic Blenheim Palace. Drawing on the bounty of the harvest and in keeping with Searcys’ pledges to use seasonal ingredients wherever possible, Hix has created an ingredient-led menu to celebrate the best of British produce.
Celebrated chef, restaurateur and food writer Mark Hix is known for his original take on British gastronomy. Hix is lauded as one of London’s most eminent restaurateurs – with five restaurants in London and two in Dorset - with an unrivalled knowledge of ingredients with provenance. He is the author of a number of cookbooks on British cuisine, including Mark Hix on Baking, Hix Oyster & Chop House, British Regional Food.
On 12 September, guests are invited to enjoy a four-course dinner designed by Hix and inspired by recipes from his cookbook “British Seasonal Foods”. The evening will kick off with Mark’s signature canapes Black Cow Cheddar and Somerset Membrillo, and De Beauvoir smoked salmon with the ‘Hix cure’, served alongside a glass of Furleigh Estate Blanc de Noirs 2014.
